We fished Rockport bays with bait today. We used live shrimp and a cork and caught plenty of speckled trout and a few redfish. We also caught black drum and flounder. All were legal keepers and my fisherman had plenty of fish to take home. Give me a call to book your trip.

Hello guys and gals. Today we fished plastics and released all the fish. Our fisherman had caught all they wanted the last three days. Plastics still produced well and we had fish early on topwater plugs. The speckled trout were very cooperative today and everyone released lots of fish. Come down and fish with me in Rockport. To book your trip please call 956-607-7200.

Hello fisherman, book a fishing trip and come down to Rockport. Today we fished for speckled trout with plastics while wading. Lots of trout. We made three wades and caught trout on all three. The best fish were on a channel edge and several were over 4 pounds. Norton mini sand eel on 1/8 oz. lead head was the best bait. Everyone had plenty of fish for dinner.

The fishing is great in Rockport / Port Aransas. We fished in very shallow water today due to the extremely high tides. Redfish move very shallow when tides are up. The action was steady and redfish were cooperative. The best bait was fresh menhaden free lined over shell and grass bottom. Menhaden is a oily bait fish that attracts redfish from a distance. Many smaller redfish were released and the larger size fish were kept for the grill. Our favorite way to cook redfish is on the half shell (fillets with the skin and scales still on). Cook over a very hot fire. The skin will protect the fish from over cooking. Call me at 956-607-7200 to book a charter.

The fishing is great at Rockport / Port Aransas. We fished today with corks and live shrimp and had a great day. the bag was a mixture of trout, redfish, and black drum. The wind was up but some good water on San Jose Island shoreline resulted in a good catch wading in shallow water. As the summer approaches and the water continues to warm look for more trout and redfish to move into the bays around Rockport.
