Our start to the day was delayed by several hours due to rain and lightning, however we were on the water at noon and dodging the rain storms. We caught a few trout in Aransas Bay but they were mostly small. After several moves we found some Redfish and the battle was on. Landing big Redfish in a strong tidal current is a job but everyone caught fish and we had a great day on the water. Come to Rockport and catch some fish and some fun.

We had a beautiful day on the bay near Rockport with light winds and mild temperatures. We waded with Croakers and stepped right off the boat and had a redfish on immediately. We fished in the same general area for the entire day and caught fish continually. Our catch was a good mix of speckled trout and redfish. Everyone had a good time and a great fish dinner.

We had a great day with the kids from the Children’s Hospital today. Both guys were fun to be with and they caught fish. One was a 25″ speckled trout. The guides all love this trip.

As a member of The Texas Coastal Bend Guides Association, I captained one of many boats for staff and children from the South Texas Children Home in Corpus Christi. My crew included a staff member and friend. Our children were unavailable. We had a great morning and both fisher persons caught fish. All the guides are glad to provide this trip.
