We had a mixed bag of redfish and speckled trout today. We fished in Corpus Christi bay and used croakers. Terry from Florida caught three nice redfish plus some nice trout. Way to go Terry. Fresh fish for dinner.

We had a great day fishing the bay for speckled trout. The guys were on a little mancation (vacation for guys). We fished the Upper Laguna Madre using croakers for bait. Everyone caught fish and everyone had a great time.
We had a great day on the bay. Caught a nice 28 1/2″ speckled trout while wading. Come salt water bay fishing with me in the bays around Rockport / Port Aransas area. Great day on the bay.

We had a good bite early for big fish on croakers in shallow water and later lots of numbers of trout on plastics around the wells in Aransas Bay. The brown shrimp are on the move to the gulf and all the fish are taking advantage of the migration.
My crew had some nice fish today. All trout (up to 27 inches) but some fast and furious action for a while. That is what brings them back for more. A day on the bay is great.
Trout continue to be the target species and the big sow trout entering the bays to spawn. Each incoming tide brings new fish. Today was no exception with some nice fish taken very early. As the sun came up the bite slowed but picked back up in deep water later in the morning.
The fishing was tough today until about 10:30 when the fish moved in along the drop offs to feed. The waders had plenty of action with live croakers and plastics on nice trout.
We had a great day on the water with the early speckled trout bite getting everyone excited. A 40 LB. cow ray made for a fun fight until we were able to net it and return it to the water. We finished the day with a couple of redfish and had a great time.
Our Group today had plenty of action. Speckled trout were aggressive and plentiful. The trick was to let the fish run a little with the bait, then set the hook. We had two very large trout, 27″ and 28′. plus some 20″ plus fish. Come to Rockport and fish while it is great.
The fishing continues to improve in the Rockport / Port Aransas area. Our bays are full of speckled trout and redfish. One local guide caught a 41″ Ling (Cobia) while fishing for speckled trout. Croakers are plentiful and limits of speckled trout are common. Now is the time to book a fishing trip on the bays. Today we had a great day with a mixed bag of redfish and speckled trout.
