This was another beautiful day on the bays around Rockport and Port Aransas. The day started cool but soon warmed and we really enjoyed the mild temperatures and light winds. We used live shrimp fished on the bottom for Black Drum and Redfish. Although the redfish did not cooperate the drum were aggressive. We ended the day with a ice chest full of Black Drum to 12 lbs and released several 10 lb fish. All the anglers were tired of reeling in these hard fighting fish but will enjoy the fresh fish dinner tonight at a local Rockport restaurant. Come to Rockport / Port Aransas area for a relaxing day of bay fishing and a spring vacation.

A day on the bay for a father and son

The sun was warm and the wind was light. A perfect day to wade the shoreline of Aransas Bay near Rockport for trophy Speckled Trout. The clear water dictated a Corky Fat Boy in Clear with metal flake. That did the trick. The big female trout could not resist. The team of experienced fishermen caught and released several trout in the 5 to 9 lb range. We kept enough trout (15 to 18 inches) for dinner but released the rest. Give me a call and we will schedule a trip on the bay for trophy speckled trout and redfish. Want a relaxing day on the bay, schedule a day of bottom fishing for redfish and black drum. Any day on the bay with family and friends is better than a day at work. Come down to Rockport / Port Aransas and relax. Call me 956-607-7200.
