The Redfish and Speckled Trout were active in the bays in the Rockport / Port Aransas. The wade fishing with Berkley Gulps was great. The 3″ shrimp in New Penny and Nuclear Chicken were hot on a 1/8 oz. lead head. Look for drop-offs near deep water for concentrations of reds and trout.

Cool weather has charged up the fishing. Black Drum and Redfish are agreeively feeding following cool fronts. Look along shallow shorelines near deep water. Live shrimp is the bait of choice with dead shrimp and cut bait a good second choice. Once you find a shoreline with fish stay with them, They will cruise the shoreline feeding so wait on them. Circle hooks in size 5/0 or 7/0 work well for releasing undersize fish. Give us a call for a great day on the bay.
